You think you know me…

So, Anna in the Works has a new title – You Think You Know Me! (The exclamation mark is not part of it – that’s just me being excited.) Choc Lit sent me a list of six suggestions, of which I really liked three, and this one best of all.

Sailing boat on Derwentwater
The action in You Think You Know Me starts in London, but it’s in the Lakes that Anna finds herself in real danger…

I’m pleased that it hints at the intrigue in the book. The story features a passionate affair, a murder mystery and characters who almost all have something to hide. It’s just possible that the title Anna in the Works didn’t convey that …

I’ve also got a new blurb for the book, created by my very skilled editor, Lu. It’s made me realise how valuable it is to have an unclouded eye on the job:

Sometimes, it’s not easy to tell the good guys from the bad …

Freelance journalist, Anna Morris, is struggling to make a name for herself, so she’s delighted to attend a launch event for a hip, young artist at her friend Seb’s gallery.

But an exclusive interview isn’t all Anna comes away with. After an encounter with the enigmatic Darrick Farron, she is flung into the shady underground of the art scene – a world of underhand dealings, missing paintings and mysterious deaths …

Seb is intent on convincing Anna that Darrick is up to no good but, try as she might, she can’t seem to keep away from him. And as she becomes further embroiled, Anna begins to wonder – is Seb’s behaviour the well-intentioned concern of an old friend, or does he have something to hide?

I should say, at this point that, although I have a new pen name, book title and blurb, I did write the novel all on my own …! 🙂
